Talent management agency Music Works reveals that its new artist Minzy has been preparing for her comeback as a solo artist since her split-up with her 2NE1 and former agency in April. However, the label has not yet confirmed the exact date of the singer’s return.
According to a source from the label company, Minzy has previously decided to make her debut in November this year, Soompi reports. However, because the KPop idol is still considering different concepts to give out the best offerings to her fans, she chose to postpone her solo comeback.
On August 13, Minzy held a gathering with her fans at the Private Cinema in Cheongdam Cine City. The event is the singer’s first fan meet and greet as an individual artist.
According to a report by Soompi, a total of 40 fans had a chance to personally talk and hang out with Minzy for almost an hour. Meanwhile, the supporters who cannot make it the event can still see the happenings as it is broadcasted live in the Naver V App.
During the get-together, Minzy gave her supporters some gifts of appreciation. In return, she was given a welcome back cake specially made for her.
Born as Gong Min Ji, Minzy started her entertainment career in 2009 after joining the girl group 2NE1 alongside Park Bom, Sandara Park and CL under the management of YG Entertainment. After leaving the group and the agency this year, she took the label company Music Works as her new agency.
