Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has recently started shooting for a biopic on fugitive mafia boss Dawood Ibrahim's sister and underworld queen Haseena Parker.
The 29 year old "Aashiqui 2" actress, who is daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor, has officially announced that the first shoot of her first biopic project is done. "So excited! First day of shoot of my next film "Haseena" begins with Siddhanth Kapoor. All the best Apporv Lakhia," she wrote on her official twitter handle on Tuesday.
West Indies' opening batsman and twenty20 specialist Chris Gayle wished the "Baaghi" actress all the best for the movie, reported Mid Day newspaper. The star player from Indian Premier League (IPL)' Royal Challegers Bangalore (RCB) franchise took to his twitter handle and wrote, "Haseena Begins. All the best. Apoorv Lalakhia (director) and Shraddha Kapoor for the movie."
The movie - "Haseena- The Queen of Mumbai" - also stars Kapoor's elder brother Siddhanth who will reprise the role of Ibrahim, a former Mumbai based underworld don who is believed to be hiding in Pakistan. "Who knew at that point that we'd actually get to work together and share screen space as brother and sister in a movie? My father is also pretty happy that we're working on a film together," Siddhanth said, reported Times of India. "I'm looking forward to shooting with her." The biopic is directed by "Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost" fame director Apporva Lakhia. It is slated to release next year.
Bollywood's "Cham Cham" girl will next seen in Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal's musical drama "Rock On 2." The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on November 11. Check out recently released songs from the movie here.
