Preview

Milwaukee started the preseason with two straight victories over Chicago and Dallas before succumbing to two consecutive losses to Indiana and Chicago, splitting their first four games.

The Bucks lost their second meeting with the Bulls, 107-86, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Saturday, Oct. 15 after nipping them, 93-91, during their preseason-opener earlier this month.

Greg Monroe and Michael Carter-Williams, two players who are on the trading block at the moment, were unavailable for Bucks head coach Jason Kidd and were also not with the team during the game. Both players are expected to sit out the remainder of the preseason with Carter-Williams reportedly on the verge of being traded to the Bulls for shooting guard Tony Snell.

Young forwards Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo continued to be Kidd's main men, scoring 21 and 14 points respectively against Chicago as both shot above 50 percent from the floor during the game. Both also contributed six rebounds and four assists each.

Point guard Matthew Dellavedova, center Miles Plumlee, and shooting guard Orlando Johnson were the three other starters for the Bucks.

Meanwhile, the Pistons also has a similar 2-2 slate but they opened the season with a two-game losing skid before winning their next two games.

Their last game was an impressive 97-76 victory over a Joel Embiid-led Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center also last Saturday.

Starting point guard Reggie Jackson is still sidelined by a left knee tendinitis while starting power forward Marcus Morris was rested by head coach Stan Van Gundy. In their place were former Sixers point guard Ish Smith and 19-year-old rookie Henry Ellenson.

The rest of the regular starters, Tobias Harris, Andre Drummond, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were available and played significant preseason minutes, contributing 18, 10, and nine points respectively.

Drummond was a beast off the boards, grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds in 27 minutes and totally outplaying Embiid.

Prediction

A close home win for the Pistons is predicted. Van Gundy may again rest some of his starters to give his bench players a chance to showcase their skills with only weeks away before the start of the regular season.
