During 2010, the first NBA superteam was formed when LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined Dwyane Wade in Miami Heat. But Wade admits he and LeBron was interested to join Bulls at that time.
During the 2010, Wade also became a free agent, as reported by CBS Sports. He was actually interested to join Chicago Bulls at that time. But when Bosh signed with Miami, Wade decided to stay for one more term. His decision led to the forming of Miami Heat superteam, when James followed them.
The trio, known as "The Big Three," led Miami Heat to four consecutive NBA Finals from 2011 to 2014 and winning two back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013. The move, especially James decision to join Bosh and Wade had been criticized by many people, including former players and NBA legends Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.
On the other occassion, Wade also admitted that regardless many accomplishment which James made, but he can never surpass the legacy of Michael Jordan. In an interview with ESPN, he said the ambition to surpass Jordan's legacy is a fool's errand.
"No, it's not possible. It's not possible," Wade said. "The only thing you can do is tie it. There's no 19th hole."
Wade equate Jordan and James in a golf analogy. He said that Jordan has already in the 18th hole, while James is still somewhere in the 4th hole. Wade didn't deny the fact that James is a phenomenal player, but he said Jordan is undeniably the greatest player of all time.
Lately, James' footstep to leave his old and join strong team to pursue championship was followed by Kevin Durant whose contract ended last summer. Durant chose to sign with Golden State Warriors, to form a stronger team in Bay Area. Similar to people
s response from James' decision in 2010, Durant also received many critics for leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder.
