"Mortal Kombat X" has proven itself to be successful innovation in the series popularized by NetherRealm Studios. Now, an update will be bringing in new characters, costumes, and a lot more.
According to a Warner Bros. community page, the update is said to be 28 GB in file size. It is reported to provide fixes and rebalances the gameplay, as well as improve the net code. The pack also shows a variety of standard graphics and features for the PC platform, such as proper widescreen support.
Expanding on the patch information from the community page, Warner Bros. also had patch notes on the latest update. Fixes that also revolve around the gameplay include different move list corrections, an increase in the running energy cost from 15 to 25 and Kounter message addition. The feature Kounter message appears when the player hits the opponent as a punishment or a counterattack.
As for the aesthetics, the pack for "Mortal Kombat X" includes the Medieval Skin Pack and a new stage called the Pit. It was reported that both NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. released "Mortal Kombat XL" along with the patch for the PC, according to Eurogamer. This means that the contents of the "Kombat Pack 2" will be available, such as Triborg and Bo'Rai Cho from the previous series, the Xenomorph from the "Alien" franchise, and Leatherface from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" horror film series.
PC owners will still have to pay for the "Kombat Pack 2" update, but nevertheless, still appreciates the update Warner Bros. has given them, especially that a lot of them have begun to lose hope on the game. Recent Steam reviews have shown that the game has gone from mixed user reviews to mostly positive ones.
