Wife of presidential nominee Melania Trump speaks up and defends her husband for the first time since a leaked audio of a video tape in 2005 showed her husband making lewd and sexually aggressive statements about women. The other voice in the video, Access Hollywood reporter, Billy Bush, immediately resigned "Today" in the wake of the scandal.
The Slovenian ex model says her husband was only egged on in a boy talk and that he is a gentleman contrary to how the media portrays him to be, CNN reported. She further said the other accusations were all lies stating, "This was all organized from the opposition. And with the details ... did they ever check the background of these women? They don't have any facts."
She admitted that she confronted Donald Trump when she heard about the news telling him the language was inappropriate and unacceptable and saying she was surprised because "that is not the man that I know."
Melania recounted her personal experience about Natasha Stoynoff, a reporter who claims she's been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump when she covered their first year anniversary for People magazine.
The writer claims Donald took her to another room and started kissing her. The reporter also claimed she saw Melania on 5th Avenue and the latter asked "How come we don't see you anymore?" to which Melania also vehemently denies because she claims she wouldn't even recognize her.
Bill Bush, the other voice in the recorded audio, is leaving NBC effective immediately. Although he is a brand new host of Today, he never returned to the show after the tape came out, The Guardian reported.
Bush can be heard laughing at Trump's lewd remarks, which were all on tape by a live microphone on their way to a soap opera. When they got there, the reporter even encouraged soap opera actress Arianne Zucker to hug them, saying, "How about a little hug for the Donald?"
What's next for the host is unknown. The 45-year-old reporter has reportedly signed a deal that does not include a noncompete clause, which means he could be seen working in other networks right away.
