The "Homeland" showrunner Alex Gansa teased the press with some interesting details about the next season of Emmy Award winning espionage thriller. He especially revealed details about Peter Quinn (Ruert Friend). Fans beloved character Quinn might turn into a villain.
At Television Critics Association summer press tour recently, he was quoted teasing about how Quinn is going to be dramatized in the new season. He added that the turn of events is going to surprise audience and it will not be even close to what they are thinking. The fans of the show really wish to see Quinn and Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) together but that seems impossible.
The surprise twist might be that after the fatal accident and knowing the conditions of a sufferer, Quinn might turn into a villain. Gansa further elaborated saying that Quinn is alive and he can reveal nothing more than this at the moment. He added that he would be careful in revealing about his condition as well, TV Line reported.
The new season of "Homeland" will be set in New York and the shoot has commenced. It will be depicting about the life-altering events that occurred during 9/11 and how the States and its people are still dealing with the repercussions of that event.
Quinn suffered a major stroke in the previous season but as Gansa hinted about his comeback, he also pointed that he will be an altered Quinn in the new season. Carrie will have a lot to deal with after Ottoman's marriage proposal, security of her daughter and ofcourse, proposal by Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) to join CIA again.
According to Entertainment Weekly, he further added that the President in the new season will be a combination of many people such as Hillary Clinton, a little bit of Donald Trump and a bit of Bernie Sanders as well.
He continued spilling more beans by saying that the new president happens to be a junior senator from New York so obviously fans will see a good deal of Hillary in her, in terms of seeing the world as it is and being a pragmatist.
