BLACKPINK has been confirmed to have increased their promotions for their upcoming comeback in November. Aside from "Inkigayo," YG Entertainment announced they have added "M! Countdown" to the promotional activities of the girl group.
On Sunday, a source affiliated with YG Entertainment revealed BLACKPINK is increasing their promotions for their return on Nov. 1. The claim was later confirmed by the label, adding that BLACKPINK is also set to appear on variety shows, Soompi reported.
"BLACKPINK has received more love than we anticipated. Starting from the new track that's revealed on November 1, BLACKPINK will be promoting on not only "Inkigayo," but also Mnet's "M! Countdown" as well," YG Entertainment announced.
The label continued, "They are also planning on appearing on variety programs that are similar to MBC Every1's "Weekly Idol.""
Previously, YG Entertainment dropped their newest poster for "Who's Next," revealing BLACKPINK as the next idol to make a comeback on Nov. 1. The poster also featured "Square Two," which is likely to be the title of the girl group's upcoming album, Koreaboo noted.
Reports suggested BLACKPINK will be returning with two new singles, noting that the four-member girl group has finished filming one of the two music videos over the Chuseok holiday.
Initial reports claimed BLACKPINK will make a return in October, with YG Entertainment dropping hints of a possible comeback of a YG artist. However, it was later revealed that the group to return in October was Sechs Kies and not BLACKPINK.
BLACKPINK rose to fame with the release of their debut tracks "WHISTLE" and "BOOMBAYAH" in August. The newly formed girl group instantly won the hearts of Kpop fans with their catchy music.
Both "WHISTLE" and "BOOMBAYAH" topped several music charts locally and internationally. BLACKPINK also won on "Inkigayo" with these two hit tracks.
