BLACKPINK is giving their fans more reasons to be excited for their upcoming comeback after confirming that they will finally make their first ever variety show appearance for their return.
According to Allkpop, a source revealed BLACKPINK will be featured on "Weekly Idol" for their comeback. "BLACKPINK will be participating in the recording on the 1st of next month," an insider said.
Given that, BLACKPINK's episode on "Weekly Idol" is speculated to broadcast in mid-November. Their appearance on the variety show will be a first for the newly debuted girl group.
YG Entertainment recently revealed BLACKPINK will be making their comeback on Nov. 1 with a new single titled "Playing With Fire." Further reports revealed the girl group has worked with their "BOOMBAYAH" MV director for their much-awaited comeback.
Other reports also claimed BLACKPINK will return with at least two new singles, revealing that the girl group has filmed a music video over the Chuseok holiday. Aside from that, Soompi reported BLACKPINK is increasing their promotion activities for their new music.
A source affiliated with YG Entertainment said BLACKPINK will be promoting their new music on "Inkigayo" and "M! Countdown." The source even said the girl group also plans to make an appearance on variety shows like "Weekly Idol."
Previously, BLACKPINK also released two singles, "BOOMBAYAH" and "WHISTLE," for their debut in August. Despite being new in the industry, the YG artist has been featured locally and internationally.
BLACKPINK even surpassed Girls' Generation and TWICE in terms of brand influence in September, which was described as the first. As a result, many companies are going after the rising girl group such as Reebok, Moonshot and Saint Scott.
