Amid controversy involving South Korean President Park Geun Hye, BTS may have shared their piece on the issue during their recent performance on MBC's "Show! Music Core."
According to Allkpop, BTS performed not only one, but two songs during the Oct. 29th episode of "Show! Music Core." To everyone's surprise, the Bangtan Boys staged a performance of their song "Am I Wrong," which is perceived to be about societal injustices.
The lyrics of "Am I Wrong" goes, "If you don't feel anything when watching the news, if you don't feel anything at those comments, if you don't feel anything at that hate, it's abnormal that you're normal."
Further reports suggested that MBC might have given their support that BTS should perform their song "Am I Wrong" in the midst of Korea's political scandal.
Previously, Korea's President Park has been engulfed in a controversy for allegedly sharing state documents to a colleague. After the scandal leaked, the Korean President requested 10 senior secretaries to resign from their posts, CNN reported.
To protest about the alleged political scandal, thousands of Koreans gathered on Saturday to call out for the resignation of the president. On Tuesday, Park issued an apology and admitted to sharing information with a colleague named Choi Soon Sil.
The Korean president said her colleague saw "some documents," however, Park refused to specify what documents they were. "I am shocked and my heart is breaking for causing public concern," Park said in her apology.
Could it be that BTS' performance of "Am I Wrong" on "Show! Music Core" is about the current political scandal in Korea? Or was it just a coincidence? What do you think?
