NBA Regular Season 2016-17: Paul George was fined $15,000 for kicking the ball to the stands, hitting a television crew

NBA imposed $15,000 fine for Paul George for kicking the ball into the stands in the game against Chicago Bulls. The ball hit the face of woman who is Fox Sports television crew member.

George was frustrated after a foul call in the third quarter of the game against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday Nov. 5. He kicked the ball into the stands and hit a woman in the spectators who sit behind the baseline, as CBS Sports reported. George went to the stands quickly and apologized to the woman who happened to be a television crew member from Fox Sports Indiana Lindsey Yeager.

After the incident he was ejected. That was the first time for George to be ejected from the game. Indiana Pacers continued to play well and defeating the Bulls 111-94 in the game held at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis.

Later on Tuesday, NBA fined George $15,000 for the incident. But he did not just pay the fine and walk away after accidentally hitting a woman.George sent a bouquet of flower to miss Yeager as his apology, as reported by ESPN.

“Lindsey, I am sorry for the ball hitting you at the game on Saturday! It was not intentional. I hope you are feeling ok,” the note on the flower read.

Yeager’s fellow television crew member Mika Brown praised George action for sending Yeager a flower. She took to her social media to defend harsh criticism against George after the kicking incident. Ms. Brown took note that most guys would just pay the fine and walk away, but George did more than that.
