Excitement is building up for the upcoming "The Last Guardian" for the PS4. Sony Interactive has just released a new trailer showing some action-packed moments, along with what seem to look like a new enemy creature.
According to Gamespot, the protagonist's bestial partner, Trico, is somewhat like a giant part-dog and part-bird kind of creature, with a gentle and meek appearance. In the trailer, however, we see a new creature that looks like Trico, although having a darker and more sinister appearance. In addition to that, the creature is one of the enemies Trico would have to face in the journey of "The Last Guardian."
"The Last Guardian" will also be getting a PS4 Pro patch in December to bump up the resolution to 4K, alongside bringing in some "minor" enhancements.
According to earlier reports, "The Last Guardian" has finally gone gold after being in development for nearly a decade along with numerous delays. Based on a statement by the president of Worldwide Studios at Sony Interactive Entertainment Shuhei Yoshida, the game has finally gone gold.
The studio also had a vinyl record that features composer Takeshi Furukawa's masterpiece of "The Last Guardian's original soundtrack.
In "The Last Guardian," the players can get to control a still unnamed young boy who allies himself with a giant half-bird-half-mammal creature named Trico. The two would have to work together to avoid encountering soldiers and guards that are out to get them both or worse. Players would have to manipulate Trico like treating a real world animal, such as offering it with food for favors, and use it to climb up and reach unreachable place, while trying to survive.
"The Last Guardian" is set for release exclusively for PS4 on Dec. 6 in North America, Dec. 7 in the EU and Australia, and Dec. 9 in the UK.
