South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor Jinyoung of the boy group B1A4 have been known to have a close relationship with girl group IOI. In his recent interview with "The Star", the Kpop idol explained why he wanted to be more engaged in the girls’ upcoming musical activities.
"We started talking about it while I was filming, and I was really happy and wanted to do it,” the artist stated , referring to his recently finished TV drama series “Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds” as quoted by All Kpop.
He added: “It's their last album, and I saw them since their 'Produce 101' days. It's something I experienced as well, so I knew how they felt. Some people said that they were crying too much, but I completely understood how they felt. So I wanted to take care of them. So I felt even more that I wanted to participate [in their album]."
The 25-year-old star is the man behind IOI’s latest single “Hold Up”. Aside from the said song, he also wrote the songs "When the Cherry Blossoms Fade" and "In The Same Place" for the group.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung has recently appeared in the on KBS 2TV's “Happy Together 3”, All Kpop reports. During the show, the star was asked by host Park Myung Soo if in which area does he earns the most. As a response, he revealed that composing song profits him the best.
Jinyoung became joined the B1A4 in April 2011 under the management of WM Entertainment. He currently the group leader and sub vocalist.
