"The Last of Us" was something that really went beyond the simple "shoot and survive" formula in a game that involves zombies. With the success of the game and its DLC "Left Behind," fans begin to wonder when - and what - to expect from the possible sequel that is rumored to be in development.
After a few reports detailed that that the possible "Last of Us: Remastered" will have some difficulty being ported to the PS4 Pro, developer Naughty Dog have been rumored to go straight to putting "The Last of Us 2" up for the PS4 Pro platform first.
It was actually after the news that "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi mentioned about having a movie adaptation of the game that "The Last of Us 2" came out. Speaking of film, it seems that the adaptation for the hit video game is stuck in production limbo for the moment due to the differences between film executives and video game writer Neil Druckmann. However, Raimi is still somewhat hopeful that the adaptation will still see the light of day eventually.
For those who are actually waiting for "The Last of Us 2" to come out, players can actually go back to playing the "The Last of Us" and its DLC "The Last of Us: Left Behind" for the time being on their PS3 consoles.
Other forms of media involving the epic story of survival and human bonds of "The Last of Us" include the four-issue comic book miniseries, titled "The Last of Us: American Dreams," which Dark Horse Comics published from April to July 2013. The miniseries was a prequel to the game, telling the journey of a younger Ellie and Riley.
