Korean pop star Kim Hyun Ah and Marvel character Deadpool make an unlikely couple, yet their recent appearance in High Cut magazine's February issue showed that they can hit it off nicely.

The sweet and joyful  imaginary marriage scenario that High Cut presented shows the two celebrities in several affectionate poses.

One snap shows HyunA wearing a bridal veil while embracing Deadpool. Another shot shows Deadpool whipping up a meal while HyunA looks over his shoulder. There is also the snap of HyunA seemingly waiting for Deadpool to finish reading a copy of the magazine and give her his attention.

Perceived as promotional material for the film "Deadpool," which will hit cinemas on February 16, the magazine spread featuring the two controversial personalities has raised many quizzical brows.

Deadpool is one of the most self-centered and reckless superheroes in the Marvel fold. He comes off as different from most other superheroes. The wisecracking superhero with a dark, twisted character first appeared in the film "Wolverine: Origins."

Ryan Reynolds plays the lead role in the much anticipated movie revolving around the Marvel Comics character who develops uncanny healing powers, pain resistance and strength following treatment using a Weapon X program.

HyunA is a Korean singing sensation who is the lead vocalist and rapper-dancer of the all-female group 4Minute. She embarked on a solo musical career, churning out hit singles like "Change" that garnered over 17 million hits on YouTube.

HyunA also partnered with Psy in the hit song "Gangnam Style."

The 23-year-old K-pop star also came out with an amusing video entitled "Girl You Better Walk" with British singer and actress Rita Ora.

In the magazine's special feature, where the Marvel anti-hero gets up close and personal with the K-pop artist, the latter makes it work, Allkpop reported.

The magazine spread, which added to the hype for the upcoming movie, drew positive reactions from k-pop fans. Comic book fans' curiosity was piqued, and some wondered who exactly was the person under the mask.

While it definitely drummed up interest for "Deadpool," it also showed that when it comes to the creative arts, anything, including marrying two personalities with clashing interests, is possible.
