The Weekly Famitsu has once again shown some good content, this time bringing us back to "NiOh." And featuring its new weapon, areas and bosses.

First to be discussed is the weapon. According to DualShockers, the brand new weapon type is called the Kusarigama, which a traditional Japanese melee weapon often having ties with the Ninja. The weapon somewhat appears as a long chain linking a sickle blade and a counterweight on the other side. After all, the Japanese word "Kusari" means "Chain" and "Gama" means "Sickle."

Now, as cool as it sounds and looks, the Kusarigama may be a deadly weapon, but a difficult one to master. The "Gama"/Sickle part has only limited range, while the counterweight has a further reach. It's even possible to attack with both sides at the same time. Once mastered, the weapon can be used with various techniques.

As for the new areas, two new ones have been introduced: Futamata and Iga.

Futamata located in where the modern Shizuoka Prefecture is - to be exact, it's west of that prefecture the Futamata and Tenryu river converge. In the game, historical Japanese figure and Tokugawa Ieyasu's eldest son, Nobayasu had ordered to close the highway due to the harvest season.

For the second area, Iga, it is located in the north-western part of what now is the Mie Prefecture, formerly owned by the Ninja. 20 years before the game's events, another notable Japanese figure in history, Oda Nobunaga subjugated the area during his campaign to unify the entire Japanese empire. In the game, the protagonist William enters a house in the area only to be greeted by insidious enemies.

To add to the game's unique weapons and locations, "NiOh" wouldn't be complete without the uniquely Japanese mythological monsters, especially the bosses. Two more bosses have been introduced, the giant humanoid frog Ohgama and masked demon Kijo.

Last month, in addition to the new weapons and all, Koei Tecmo just offered pre-order bonuses that involve five original weapons and two new armors - Sanada Yukimura's armor (otherwise known as the Crimson Master Armor) and an original armor design (the NiOh Armor).

"NiOh" will be released in North America on Feb. 7, 2017.
