"The Big Bang Theory" star Kunal Nayyar's character Raj will end her relationship with Emily (Laura Spencer) in the upcoming episode.
However, this does not mean that the character will stay single for a long time.
According to the show's spoiler site, Raj will come to the realization that his relationship with Emily will not work in the long run.
"Amy and Sheldon host a live Sheldon Cooper Presents: Fun With Flags, Raj breaks up with Emily, Leonard and Penny go out on a teen date and the Wolowitzes put in a hot tub and find a rabbit that died," the synopsis read.
During a previous interview with TV Line, executive producer Steve Molaro said that Raj has always known that he and Emily are not meant to be together.
However, since he's a pretty insecure guy, he will find it difficult to end his relationship with her.
Meanwhile, according to Christian Post, there are some speculations that Raj will eventually ask Claire (Alessandra Torresani) out on a date.
Raj met Claire at the comic book store recently, and it seems that the two could become an item in the upcoming episodes of the hit CBS series.
"The poor man is now torn between two lovers - at least in his dreams - and fans will have to see how he handles the situation and if Emily will notice that he has a thing for Claire," the publication noted.
In other news, there are also some rumors that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) will once again try to propose to Amy (Mayim Bialik) in "The Meemaw Materialization."
The episode will see Meemaw telling Amy that Sheldon had plans of proposing to her a few months back. Fans believe that Amy will be surprised by this news, but it is also a common knowledge that she's always wanted Sheldon to step up his game.
As of late, there are some rumors that Sheldon will propose to Amy this season on "The Big Bang Theory."
On the contrary, there are also some speculations that the proposal might happen next season because Molaro already said that the rest of the season will no longer be focused on the two character.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will return to CBS on Feb. 4.
