"Timeless" has added "The Vampire Diaries" actress Annie Wersching to its slew of guest stars in Season 1.
Wersching, who's known for playing Lily Salvatore on "The Vampire Diaries," will play a character linked to Flynn's storyline in an upcoming episode of "Timeless." According to Deadline, the actress has been tapped to play Emma Whitmore, described as a reclusive woman hiding out in a cabin deep in the woods. Her location holds a mysterious importance to Goran Visnjic's character.
Wersching's Emma will be seen recurring in the remaining episodes of "Timeless" season 1. No airdate has been set for her debut episode.
In addition to "The Vampire Diaries," Wersching has also appeared on "24," "Castle," "Bosch," "The Catch and Major Crimes.
Wersching joins previously cast Michael Drayer (Mr. Robot), who has been tapped to play the famous illusionist, Harry Houdini. His episode is slated to air on Jan. 16, when the show returns after the winter break.
Houdini's episode will also feature the appearance of HH Holmes, America's first documented serial killer. He will be played by "The Newsroom" actor, Joel Johnstone.
Next Monday (Dec. 12), "Timeless" will go back to the period of the infamous American traitor, Benedict Arnold. In the episode, "a stunning turn during the American Revolution prompts Lucy, Wyatt, and Rufus to question whether they've been fighting on the wrong side this whole time."
"Timeless" is a thrilling action-adventure series created by Eric Kripke, Shawn Ryan and the producers of "The Blacklist." It follows the story of a scientist, soldier and history professor who must travel back in time using a time machine to stop a mysterious criminal from destroying America's past. The series stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit.
"Timeless" airs every Monday nights at 10PM on NBC.
