The long wait is almost over for those who are waiting for the comeback of Rain as he is now gearing up to release his new music in January.
A source affiliated with Rain's label said Rain is currently working on his new music to be released next year. "He's currently in preparation with the goal for a comeback in January," the insider said as per Allkpop.
Aside from his upcoming comeback, reports claimed Rain will have an appearance on "A Hyung I Know" also in January.
Previously, reports stated Rain has been working on his new music since early of this year, aiming to make a comeback by the end of 2016. However, the artist had to delay his comeback after being caught up with the filming of Chinese drama "Endless August," Soompi reported.
"There is still a lot of work to be done on the album. Early next year, we will provide an update. We are working with the goal of showcasing Rain's long awaited comeback stage soon," a source revealed.
The upcoming music will be Rain's first release in two years after he dropped "Rain Effect" in 2014. During his talk at the 2016 Busan One Asia Festival through a canned video, Rain emphasized his role as a global star.
"I felt something in particular when performing in concerts. It's this mindset of representing Korea no matter where I go, and that I should work hard. It's something that many other artists who promote overseas also probably think," the singer-actor said.
He continued, "When I held an Asia tour in 2004, I thought "would this work well?" I felt a lot of burden because I was performing in the Tokyo Dome as a male solo artist for the first time."
Rain added it took him a while to get used to it; however, he was thankful the show turned out a success. He also cited his MTV Asia Grand Slam award as one of the most memorable achievements he had.
