A woman who was interviewed by a Japanese media outlet claimed she has dated Seungri for more than a year in the past.
According to Allkpop, the woman claimed she and the BIGBANG member started seeing each other in 2013. Reports claimed the two allegedly bumped into each other at a membership-only karaoke bar.
The woman reportedly narrated she told Seungri that she was a fan of BIGBANG; hence, Seungri allegedly invited the woman to see him at his hotel.
"At first he was suspicious and took my cell phone away. But when I started to talk about my work, he complimented me, saying, "You work hard." We then went into the shower together," the woman said in the interview.
She went on, "He would sing Justin Timberlake songs. We always met at a hotel. Meals were always room service - like sandwich or curry, simple stuff."
Last year, Seungri became controversial after he was spotted with a woman at a Taiwanese club. Soompi reported Chinese media outlets claimed the BIGBANG member was seen holding hands with the woman.
However, YG Entertainment denied the reports and said Seungri did not ride a car with a woman. The label added the idol was just enjoying an after-party when he was spotted.
Meanwhile, the woman involved in the controversy has spoken up, denying rumors about her and Seungri. The woman, whose name is Maggie Mong, claimed she was working as Seungri's interpreter at that time.
"Right now I'm not in charge of Seungri's interpretations specifically, though I did recently receive a request to supervise the interpretation of BIGBANG's Taiwan concert and individual schedules. The picture [that was in the media] wasn't of a prostitute," she said.
She also denied any relationship with Seungri aside from working for the idol as his interpreter. Maggie Mong added she was not expecting she would be involved in a scandal after working for several artists.
