BIG BANG's G-Dragon and 2NE1's CL, two of YG Entertainment's biggest stars are teaming up for the upcoming SBS' Gayo Daejun year-end awards night. The collaboration was already confirmed and the two are expected to set the stage on fire with their presentation.
With the announcement that G-Dragon and CL are performing together for this year's Gayo Daejun, fans cannot contain their excitement and expressed anticipation on the pair's stage at the award show.
On December 20, it was confirmed that G-Dragon and CL will hold a special collaboration stage for SBS Gayo Daejun 2016.
"G-Dragon and CL will be performing together at ‘SAF Gayo Daejun'. They are in discussion about the song choice," Allkpop quoted YG Entertainment's rep as saying when asked about the collaboration.
Additionally, an insider from SBS Network disclosed that G-Dragon and CL's stage is going to be produced by one of YG's best composers, Teddy. It was also said that there is a chance that "Show Me the Money 4" grand winner, BeWhy, is joining the hip hop duo for the performance.
Star News recalled that G-Dragon and CL last teamed up in 2009 which means that this will be the first time in seven years that the two is performing together again.
They performed "The Leaders" track which was featured in GD's album in the said year.
At any rate, EXO, BTS and Twice have been confirmed to perform at the event as well. The 2016 SBS' Gayo Daejun is taking place at the COEX in Seoul on Dec. 26.
G-Dragon is currently promoting the "MADE" repackaged album with his group. The album's title track "FXXCK IT" has been a chart topper since day 1. This promotion would be the last for BIG BANG since member TOP is scheduled to join the army in February 2017.
Meanwhile, CL is promoting solo as her group, 2NE1, recently disbanded after seven years. She also just launched her career in the U.S. with her North American tour entitled "Hello Bi+ches Tour 2016."
