Good news for Pokemon Go lovers out there because the rumor of it being canceled for Apple Watch has been debunked by its developer, Niantic, on December 17. The company made a statement saying the rumor is not real and the app is coming soon.
In an article published by Tech Crunch, the rumor started when a fake photo of an email was uploaded via Reddit saying that the Pokemon Go app is no longer pushing through for Apple Watch users. Many who believed it at first were disappointed since Niantic already gave a glimpse of this project last September. The company didn't give any specifics when it comes to its exact launch date but left a word that it might be by the end of 2016.
Pokémon Go for Apple Watch is coming soon. Stay tuned.

It has been three months since that preview was released and fans are a little bit anxious about it, which is why a rumor like this happened. Someone must have been getting impatient and wants immediate answers if Niantic is still going to partner with Apple for their product. But for those who are following Apple's updates regarding this matter, they know that it won't be easy for the giant company to just pull the plug on a project like this when they have even featured Pokemon Go in one of their events.
Economic Times also confirmed that Apple did make an announcement about their upcoming work with Niantic. The PokemonGo Twitter account even updated their status confirming that the app is still going to be available on Apple Watch very soon.
But this is not the only project that Niantic is up to involving smartwatches. BGR reported that the company is even developing their own wearable smartwatch solely for the purpose of playing their games. They also said that Niantic is on it with Nex Band for this new product and will make an official announcement early next year.
