K-Pop stars remember the life and music of George Michael

The entire world lost one of the most revolutionary icons in music when George Michael was reported dead on Dec. 25. The singer died at the age of 53 at his home in Oxfordshire.

According to Telegraph, tests are still being carried out to determine the cause of George Michael death. Although his death is being treated as "unexplained," authorities say there's nothing suspicious about it and there is no foul play. Michael's partner, Fadi Fawaz, said the singer was lying "peacefully in bed" when he was found dead.

George Michael had a stellar career, having sold more than 100 million albums throughout his four-decade career. His first claim to fame was being part of the duo Wham! which released "Last Christmas," one of today's most recognizable Christmas songs.

Family, friends and fans from all walks of life celebrated the life and music of the legendary singer, songwriter and producer. K-Pop idols took to social media to their respects and react to George Michael death.

VIXX's Leo

VIXX's Leo posted a screenshot of George Michael's "One More Try" on playing on his phone. The singer said that he "really liked this song," as translated by Koreaboo.

J.Y. Park

JYP Entertainment's head honcho wrote a lengthy message about George Michael, detailing how the "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" singer influenced him and helped him develop his own music.

"Starting from Wham [throughout] all your solo albums, loved all your music," Park wrote. "Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince and now George Micheal...all the artists that I love left too early...Want to confess that because of your music I was able to come this far. Thank you."

Brian Joo

R&B singer Brian Joo posted a photo of George Michael on his Instagram, writing that the singer's music will "live on through us all." Jokwon and KIXS also shared photos of George Michael on Instagram to pay tribute to the late singer.
