SM Entertainment is firing up its 2017 schedule by hinting at some of the solo debuts coming out this year. F(x) member Krystal is reportedly preparing for her highly-anticipated solo debut.
On Jan. 4, a representative from SM Entertainment said that Krystal is schedule to release her first solo mini album sometime in February, allkpop reported. This officially launches her career as a solo artist. She will be the third f(x) to make her solo debut. Amber released an album in 2015 and Luna followed in 2016.
News about Krystal's solo debut is piquing fans' excitement. There are already rumblings about whether she will do a collaborative track with her big sister, Jessica. In a past interview, Jessica hinted that she wants to work with her younger sister and even explored the possibility of them forming a two-member girl unit.
"Being able to work with my younger sister would be really great," Jessica said, as quoted by Soompi. "If a good opportunity arises, I don't see any reason not to [collaborate with my sister]."
Although it sounds like an exciting project, a possible Jessica and Krystal collaboration might be difficult to push through. As of now, Krystal is still under the management of SM Entertainment. Jessica is reportedly not in good terms with the agency after she shockingly left in 2014. Things are very tense between Jessica and SM Entertainment so much so that it is being reported that the agency is preventing Jessica from performing on various music shows.
The Jung sisters are highly popular not just for their talent and beauty, but also for their closeness. In their reality program "Jessica & Krystal," the siblings showed how they care for each and watch each other's back especially since they are both in the competitive K-Pop industry. Together they model for brands such as Stonehenge.
