"Forevermore" alum Liza Soberano recently defended her mom from the latter's bashers online.

Just recently, one basher posted a series of tweets directed at Soberano and her mom accusing the latter of being an addict.

More specifically, the basher called the actress' mom a methamphetamine addict and a loser.

Upon reading the posts, the 18-year-old Filipino actress couldn't help but post a series of tweets to clear her mom's name.

"Sad to see people hide behind their social media accounts. Throwing words far below the belt at people they don't even know," she wrote.

In a follow up tweet, the actress wrote, "How is this even becoming acceptable? Isn't anyone going to put a stop to this?"

On another post Soberano wrote, "You can call me anything you want, but never ever say anything bad about my mom. She doesn't deserve it."

Meanwhile, the posts of Twitter user @annemaainei went like this:

"The mom is an addict and can't be denied. I like Liza!"

Another post read, "I like her but it's true may pagka bobita sya!"

"Buti nalang di nag mana sa meth addict na mama," the Twitter user added.

According to PEP.ph, Soberano's fans stuck by the actress and defended her mom who is currently living in the United States.

In other news, Soberano and her onscreen partner Enrique Gil will appear in the upcoming ABS-CBS TV series "Dolce Amore."

On the show, Soberano will play the role of a beautiful, smart and rich princess living in Italy. However, as a famous young woman, Soberano's character will crave to live a simple and normal life.

Gil, on the other hand, will play the role of a simple man living in the Philippines whose main goal in life is to take care and support his family.

The two characters' lives will cross paths when Soberano's character decides to go to the Philippines and live an ordinary life.

"Dolce Amore" also stars Cherie Gil and Matteo Guidicelli. The series is expected to premiere on ABS-CBN sometime this year.

According to Star Cinema, the series will also feature singer Frenchie Dy. The show will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
