Kim Min Suk, Gong Seung Yeon and Jungyeon have been confirmed to bow out from "Inkigayo." A staff of SBS announced the three celebrities are stepping down as MCs of the show.
According to Soompi, the staff reportedly said the three MCs will have their final appearance on "Inkigayo" on Jan. 22. It revealed they are currently looking for the successors of Kim Min Suk, Gong Seung Yeon and Jungyeon.
"The last broadcast with them will be on the 22nd. Currently, we're in search for their replacement, and we'll use the break during the Lunar New Year holiday to find the new MCs," the staff revealed.
The trio started their journey as MCs of SBS "Inkigayo" since June 2016. Meanwhile, Kim Min Suk's agency, Woollim Entertainment, hinted they might be planning something for their artists, Allkpop cited.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, there are speculations that the "Doctors" actor might have another project after stepping down from "Inkigayo." On the other hand, Jungyeon and TWICE members have been confirmed to hold their first-ever solo concert next month.
The announcement was made by JYP Entertainment last Jan. 10, stating that the upcoming concert will be a three-day show. The solo concert will be called "TWICE 1st Tour: Twiceland The Opening" and will happen on Feb. 17 - 19 at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium.
Meanwhile, Gong Seung Yeon has been casted for an upcoming historical series titled "My Only Love Song." The actress will share the small screen with Lee Jong Hyun, whom she has worked with on "We Got Married."
"My Only Love Song" is slated to air in February. Prior to that, the actress will be seen playing as a chaebol heiress on "Introverted Boss," which started airing on Jan. 16.
