The 21-year-old Victoria's Secret model stepped out in New York wearing a subtle piece of jewelry that caught everyone's attention. The thin gold band is presumed to be the engagement ring given by her beau Zayn.
Adding fuel to the Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik engagement rumors, the "Pillowtalk" singer flaunted his new tattoo during a night out on Tuesday. Zayn had a new "love" tattoo painted across his knuckles, The Sun reported. The tattoo is said to be dedicated to Gigi. She was seen wearing the ring several times this week.
According to The Sun, the photos of Gigi and her rumored engagement ring comes a few days after she claimed to have turned down Zayn's proposal for marriage. A source close to the couple claims that Gigi refused because she isn't ready for marriage yet.
The source adds that seeing her mother Yolanda Hadid has made Gigi all the more cautious about the prospects of marriage. "She's seen her mom go through two messy divorces, so Gigi wants to make 100 per cent sure Zayn's the one before she makes a lifetime commitment," the source explained.
Meanwhile, if Zayn did propose to Gigi it wouldn't be his first time. The former One Direction member was famously engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards before they ended their relationship in a nasty split on August 2015.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been dating for a little less than a year. Their relationship was not spared from problems when the couple broke up early in 2016. They later reconciled in the summer of 2016.
