Iris is in trouble in "The Flash" Season 3 episode 12, "Untouchable." The synopsis for the episode revealed Iris is in the crossfire when an evil metahuman targets her father Joe West.
The CW has released the synopsis for episode 12, which introduces a new metahuman villain. According to Spoilers Guide, "Untouchable" focuses on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and team's efforts to defeat Clive Yorkin (Matthew Kevin Anderson). He is a metahuman who goes on a morbid killing spree in Central City.
According to the synopsis for "The Flash" Season 3 episode 12, Yorkin possesses the ability to accelerate people's death. His power causes his victims' bodies to "decompose at an accelerated rate."
Team Flash must act fast and apprehend Yorkin before he claims any more lives. The villain eventually decides to target Joe West (Jesse Martin) as his next victim. However, Iris (Candice Patton) is the one caught in the crossfire instead.
Meanwhile, in "The Flash" Season 3 episode 12, Barry decides to help Wally West aka Kid Flash with his powers. He decides to be Wally's mentor and starts training him to improve his speed. According to the synopsis, his training eventually elevates Kid Flash's speed to a new level.
Barry taking on the role of mentor for Wally hints H.R. Wells is out of the picture. Before "The Flash" Season 3 ended for its midseason finale, H.R. decided to help Wally with his speed. Does this mean that H.R. no longer takes part in Wally's training?
It is interesting to point out that that in episode 11, Gyps arrives on Earth 1 to take H.R. back home to Earth 19. According to Spoiler TV, H.R. must face a trial for a crime he committed, which involves inter-dimensional travel. If Gypsy succeeds in bringing H.R. back to Earth 19, then he may not be in "The Flash" Season 3 episode 12. Regardless, fans will know for sure when the episode airs Feb. 7 on The CW.
