Series creator Aaron Helbing talked about what is in store for Julian Albert and Caitin Snow in "The Flash" Season 3 in a recent interview. He confirmed that they become friends but not necessarily lovers.
There are speculations that Caitlin and Julian could become lovers in the midseason of "The Flash" Season 3. That Christmas party invite she extended to the CSI in the midseason finale is supposedly the beginning of a good relationship. However, Helbing said that Julian (Tom Felton) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) are just friends.
"They're two people who are struggling with what they've each had to go through this season, and they both understand each other's plights, and so it's just kind of perfect that they'll come together as friends," Helbing told TV Line.
Regardless, the showrunner did not rule out the chance of romance between the two. Helbing said that maybe Julian and Caitlin might go down that path, but not anytime soon. For now, they just want to help each other out.
Helbing's interview came after the midseason finale of "The Flash" Season 3, hinted that there could be romance in the air between Julian and Caitlin. Doctor Snow offered him eggnog and entertained him during the Christmas party at Joe West's (Jesse Martin) house.
Likewise, images from the set of "The Flash" Season 3 show Julian and Caitlin looking very comfortable with each other. Photos from Whatsfilming.ca show Julian and Caitlin locking arms. They also appeared happy as they talk with each other.
According to the publication, this scene takes place in "The Flash" Season 3 episode 13. Julian and Caitlin shared a dialogue before they linked arms.
Regardless, as what Helbing said, fans should not anticipate a new romance for Caitlin any time soon. She may not end up with Julian at all, following reports that her deceased fiancé Ronnie (Robbie Amell) returns in "The Flash" Season 3.
