Rich Dotcom returns in "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 14, "Borrow or Rob." NBC has released photos for the said episode, which shows the hacker with Kurt Weller.
It seems the FBI needs the help of Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) again. The hacker comes handy in another mission for Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and team. Another of Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) tattoos leads to a powerful collegiate secret society.
According to Spoilers Guide, in "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 14, the FBI needs to infiltrate the society. However, in order to get inside they need the help of one of its alumni. This is where Rich Dotcom comes in.

It seems the FBI is targeting a specific member of the society, as seen in the photos. The images show Patterson (Ashley Johnson) talk to a bald man with glasses.
Meanwhile, other photos from the Feb. 15 episode show Roman (Luke Mitchell) and Jane together in an unfamiliar place. The room does not resemble Roman's prison inside the FBI headquarters. The siblings appear to be in Jane's home.
It seems Jane finally convinced Weller to let her brother out of prison. In "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 12, Jane had asked Weller if Roman could at least have a change of scenery. She reasoned the FBI need to treat him as an asset and not as a terrorist, if they want his help.
Nas (Archie Punjabi) arrives to check on Roman and Jane in another photo. It seems the two are in an argument. After all, Nas is against letting Roman out of prison.
It seems Rich Dotcom has become an important character in the show, so much so that the thought of a possible spinoff for the character was brought up to series creator Martin Gero. However, the showrunner told Deadline that there is no spinoff for Rich Dotcom yet.
