Another unique game will be heading to digital stores soon developed by Fntastic (previously known as Eight Points) and published by HypeTrain Digital. It's a survival game called "The Wild Eight" and will be released next month on Early Access on Steam.
According to Dualshockers, developer Fntastic chose to do Early Access release on February and mentioned in a Steam Community update post that here's a "big world expansion" the studio has in mind. This means that development of the game is still ongoing. In addition to that, the studio also plans to work on balancing the game out even more and fix minor game bugs. Fntastic aims for a timespan of around three months to work on these.
Furthermore, Fntastic aims that multiplayer content will be launched as well along with "The Wild Eight's" actual release. That, plus a list of updates planned for post-Early Access launch:
Anyway those who want to know what "The Wild Eight" is all about, here's an official description from Steam:
"The plane crash was only the beginning. Eight survivors are stranded in the middle of an unforgiving Alaska. Don't let it consume you. Survive and live to tell the tale of The Wild Eight.
The Wild Eight is an unforgiving multiplayer survival game set in a stunning procedurally generated Alaska, full of mystery and danger. Explore, hunt and craft shoulder-to-shoulder with friends or random players online. Unless you are brave enough to survive this nightmare on your own?"
Following the game's Early-Access release, Fntastic will be releasing updates every two weeks. Additionally, the developer will also have something special for the Early-Access players. What that is remains to be seen.
"The Wild Eight" is slated to finally hit digital stores on PC via Steam Early Access on Feb. 8, 2017 at $19.99 USD. The game will also have Xbox One and PS4 versions, but there hasn't been any news their release dates.
