Just like other South Korean celebrities, KPop group Seventeen have also expressed their New Year message to their loyal supporters.
In a live broadcast through the Naver’s V app, the Seventeen boys extended their greetings to their fans in their own special way. In fact, some of the group members conveyed their wishes in the dialect of their origin and had even taken time to dress up to show how important their supporters are for them.
According to member Seung Kwan: “Keep in mind that we, Seventeen, always support you and are looking at you”.
Meanwhile, Seventeen has recently participated in the Lunar New Year special of MBC's “Idol Star Athletics Championship”, All KPop reports. During the event, the group brought home the first place in the 400-meter race male category with the time 1:53:53 as well as “best male artists” award due to their 1 gold and 2 silver medal winnings.
According to a report by All KPop, a total of 194 contestants who were divided into 38 teams have joined this year’s show which consists a total number of 9 events including the Track and Field, Archery, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Aerobics, Ssireum, Archery, and Futsal. The program took place in Goyang Gymnasium in Goyang, South Korea and was aired on January 30. Aside from Seventeen KPop groups including EXO, BTS, TWICE, Apink, GFRIEND, Red Velvet, MONSTA X, EXID, VIXX, B.A.P, B1A4, AOA, and many more were present during the event, Soompi reports.
Seventeen, also known as SVT, was formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2015. It is composed of 13 members who are divided into three different sub-units which are the hip-hop unit, vocal unit, and performance unit.
The group’s latest album “Going Seventeen” currently seats on the fourth spot on the “Gaon Chart National Physical Albums Ranking”. Released on December 2016, the record is composed of 8 tracks including the ”Beautiful” (Mix Unit), “Boom Boom”, ”Expect” (Hip-Hop Team),
”Fast Walk” and the ”Highlight” (Performance Team).
