On her recent appearance on tvN’s popular talk show “Life Bar”, South Korean actress Lee Da Hae revealed how the prostitution issue in the past years had affected her as an individual.
According to the 32-year-old star, she had been struggling hard to show the people around her that she is doing fine. In fact, she even has to hide her problems from her family just to keep them away from worrying.
"My name was on the list of celebrity prostitution. I acted like I wasn't but I was actually struggling. I pretended to be okay because I'm a celebrity but the rumors have gone too far… My family worried about me a lot. So we went out to eat at a big Korean traditional restaurant. I pretended to be okay in front of my family but when I looked down, I was wearing two different shoes," Lee told the program hosts as quoted by All KPop.
Aside from sharing about her bitter past, the “My Girl” star also revealed some details about her blooming relationship with her singer boyfriend Se7en. The couple had been dating for over a year but their relationship was only revealed in September last year.
“[When I began seeing Se7en], I became more cheerful. If we never began dating, it would have been the biggest regret of my life,” Lee admitted as quoted by Soompi.
She further said: “… I’ve been there for him during his difficult times, but I received even more of his cheerful and optimistic energy at a time when I was also going through internal struggles.”
Lee began her entertainment career in 2001 after winning the 71st Miss Chunhyang Pageant. She later starred in popular dramas including “My Girl”, ”Green Rose”, as well as the Chinese dramas “Love Actually” and ”Best Couple”.
