As the former leader of 4Minute, Jihyun is still holding on to the memories of the girl group before their disbandment last year. In fact, the idol admitted it pains her to remember the band.
"Recently, my friends and I went to noraebang (karaoke). They asked me to sing a 4minute song, and I got strangely sad," Jihyun shared as per Koreaboo.
The idol added 4Minute's disbandment is still fresh in her memory; hence, anything related to the girl group still affects her. "It hasn't been a while since we broke up, so right now it's hard for me to smile and think about it. It's still a painful memory," she said.
4Minute announced their disbandment last June. According to Allkpop, the decision came after the members' contracts with Cube Entertainment expired. In September, Jihyun signed an exclusive contract with Artist Company.
Jihyun shared she goes to her agency everyday for her acting lessons. The former 4Minute admitted she was first hesitant to pursue acting because of her lacking as an actress.
But instead of giving up, Jihyun accepted the challenge under her new label. The idol-turned-actress realized she has a lot to learn in acting; hence, the 27-year-old celebrity would like to strive for improvement.
"In the beginning, I didn't know any better and thought of myself as experienced. I even had useless pride. But I saw myself acting and realized immediately that I was a rookie, and that I should work harder," Jihyun said.
After making her debut with 4Minute in 2009, Jihyun made a cameo appearance in "Midnight FM." Simultaneously, the idol landed her first supporting role of "It's Okay, Daddy's Girl."
In 2013, Jihyun was casted for "Love and War 2" as the lead actress. In the same year, she was given another lead role for "Please Remember, Princess - Generation of Romance."
Jihyun's recent acting project was MBC's "My Little Baby" where she played as one of the main cast.
