"The Flash" movie is facing another pre-production setback. After losing two of its directors in the past months, it appears that the film's script has become another hurdle for the movie's production team to overcome.

According to Variety, the team behind "The Flash" is going back to the drawing board as they have decided to scrap the first two scripts of the DC based superhero project. To this end, they have enlisted writer Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) to rewrite the script from the very beginning.

The site reports that the move comes as a decision from WB to find a different direction for the film while they wait to hire a new director.

The Flash will find Ezra Miller reprising his role as the Scarlet Speedster on the upcoming film, which was currently set for a March 2018 release. However, with the recently announced cause of delay, it seems that DC fans will likely see the movie in theaters sometime in 2019. WB, for their part, has not yet issued a comment about the matter.

Not much details have been released about the plot of "The Flash" movie, except for the fact that it will be set in an entirely different universe from the TV series starring Grant Gustin. As revealed to Collider by producer Charles Roven: "Our Flash is gonna be not that guy. [Gustin is] terrific in doing [what he's doing]. I think that whether it's The Flash or Arrow, they're doing a great job with the TV shows they're doing.

"It's gonna be interesting to see what happens when we have a different Flash in a different universe. We're gonna try to stay in our universe and they're gonna be staying, I think, in their universe, and hopefully the audiences will embrace both. I think they can."

"The Flash" is scheduled to hit theaters on March 16, 2018.
