The 30-year-old Indian actress reportedly left for Canada in January where the movie is currently been shot. Recent reports also stated that she received a grand reception at the Toronto airport on her arrival, DNA India reported.
While Diesel is reprising his role as Cage, who returns to the National Security Agency after an eight-year absence in the third instalment of the hit franchise, the "Bajirao Mastani" star is said to be playing a bad-ass chick from Asian roots named Serena.
Padukone is undoubtedly leaving no stone unturned for her Hollywood debut. Since the actress is set to play an action figure, she has been prepping up and working out really hard for the film. With a rigorous workout along with kettlebot training, weight training and a heavy protein diet, she has reportedly achieved the much desired body that she will require to pull off those adrenaline pumping stunt sequences in the action flick.
Meanwhile, Padukone is all praised for her new co-star. Speaking about Diesel, the actress declared that he is a very warm person.
"He is very generous among most of my co-stars that I have worked with. I think it will be a fun experience working with him," The Times Of India quoted the actress as saying.
"xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage" also stars Nina Dobrev, Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose, Jet Li and Tony Jaa. It is expected to release in 2017.
Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Padukone will soon reunite with her former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for a Sajid Nadiawala's script. Watch the duo's sizzling chemistry below in a song from "Tamasha."
