Fans of Korean actor Kim Woo Bin were bothered after he revealed that he was wearing a back brace during a fan meeting event due to an injury. However, SidusHQ was quick to emphasize that the actor is in good shape.
Koreaboo cited the "Uncontrollably Fond" actor held a fan meeting event in Taiwan on Sunday, where the fans requested Kim Woo Bin to show off his abs. Reports stated the Korean star had to turn down their plea due to his condition.
"I have back pains because I exercised too much, so I am wearing a brace," he shared to his fans, causing them to worry about Kim Woo Bin.
Prior to that, fans already noticed that the Korean actor was wearing a waist protector which limited his movements on the stage. Upon learning the reason for the injury, fans poured the actor with well-wishes and messages.
To stop the fans from worrying, Kim Woo Bin's agency immediately released an official statement to clarify the matter. "Kim Woo Bin is currently getting treatment for a back injury," SidusHQ said.
It continued, "It is not serious. He has some back pains as part of this injury, but it is getting better."
The model-turned-actor rose had his breakthrough when he was casted for "School 2013" alongside Lee Jong Suk. Kim Woo Bin was even given with the Best New Actor award at the APAN Star Awards for his role in the KBS2 drama.
The 27-year-old star was given his first leading role in "Uncontrollably Fond," where he shared the small screen with miss A's Suzy. Despite ending with low viewership ratings, Kim Woo Bin said he is "personally proud" of the KBS drama as per Allkpop.
The Korean actor admitted figures are important for the success of a drama; however, Kim Woo Bin added he was not completely disappointed of the outcome considering how the fans are reacting to "Uncontrollably Fond."
"It would've been better if more people gave us compliments and recorded higher viewer ratings, of course. But I personally have pride in the production and I think the results were okay," he said.
