On his recent appearance on the radio program “Kim Chang Yeol's Old School”, South Korean alternative R&B singer-songwriter DEAN explained why he turned down the opportunity to collaborate with rapper DinDin.
According to the 24-year-old star as quoted by All KPop: “DinDin contacted me since last year. I like trying out fun things so I wanted to do it but I rejected because my popularity is low compared to DinDin… I think it'll be fun so I do want to try in the future. Not now but let's do it later."
Aside from talking about the suspended collaboration with DinDin , the singer also opened up about his latest project with singer and songwriter Baek Ye Rin of the South Korean duo 15&. Furthermore, he also revealed his plan to release a studio album and likewise conduct a solo concert before the year ends.
Meanwhile, DEAN has recently received the “Discovery of the Year” award in the R&B category during the recently held "6th GAON Chart K-Pop Awards. However, it appears that not all the audience in the venue were happy about the star’s achievement as some of them started shouting threatening words like "Get the f*** off the stage!" and "Hurry up and get it over with or I'll kill you" as he is receiving his award on the stage, All KPop reports.
Fortunately, the KPop star was able to handle the situation in a calm manner and carried on with his speech. However, some netizens were alarmed of how disrespectful other fans can be.
“The dude barely talk. What is wrong with the people telling him to hurry up, or get off. Are they so impatient? Apparently, thirty seconds listening to someone saying thanks is a lot for these rude people. You can never make everybody happy,” one internet user commented.
Another added: “Fans like these should immediately be removed from the venue. They don't deserve to even be in the same room as DEAN”.
