Hallyu star Park Min Young is undeniably one of the most remarkable actresses in the industry. In an interview, one of the production staff of her latest acting project “Seven Day Queen” has expressed his admiration for the impressive charisma and acting skills the actress has shown on the set.
According to the staff as quoted by Soompi: “As the recording goes on, we are more and more amazed. We understand why they call Park Min Young the goddess of historical dramas… Please give lots of attention to ‘Seven Day Queen,’ which is sure to capture your heart.”
Directed by Lee Jung Sub, “Seven Day Queen” presents the fatal love story of Joseon period’s royal couple who ruled their people for only seven days. In the drama, Park portrays the role of Queen Dangyeong.
Joining Park in the said drama program are actors Yeon Woo Jin and Lee Dong Woon who give life the characters of King Jungjong and King Yeonsangun respectively. “Seven Day Queen” is set to premiere on the Korean TVs on May 1 replacing Choi Kang Hee and Kwon Sang Woo’s mystery-comedy series “Mystery Queen”.
Meanwhile, Park has been recently featured in the May issue of the fashion and lifestyle magazine “The Star”. During the interview, the actress shared some bits about her personality as well as her thoughts on love and why she took the offer to be part of “Seven Day Queen”.
“Historical period dramas have this certain charm to them. Unlike modern day dramas, you have to express everything through your face, so it’s a great training opportunity for actors,” said Park as quoted by Soompi.
She also related herself to the personality of Queen Dangyeong saying “I used to be like that in the past, but I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat these days. Now that I’m in my thirties, I feel pretty cautious and scared about being in love.”
