South Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye, who starred as the female lead Go Eun-chan in the original 2007 Coffee Prince, is said to be making a cameo in the Chinese remake of the hit drama series. True to this, the production team of the Chinese version of the TV series has shared a photo showing Yoon Eun Hye alongside Chinese actress Xu Lu, who will be playing the lead role.
On June 12, the official Weibo account of the Chinese production team behind the Coffee Prince remake posted a photo showing Yoon Eun Hye acting with Xu Lu. In the photo, Yoon Eun Hye, who was sporting a blue shirt, an apron, and long pony-tailed wavy hair, appears to be working at the coffee shop again. But as what? Fans will simply have to wait until the premiere to find out.
Xu Lu, on the other hand, can be seen with short hair, wearing a green polo shirt and a brown vest.
The Chinese version of the gender-bender rom-com will have the working title, Prince Coffee Lab. Sticking with the storyline of the original South Korean drama, it follows a young woman, who, desperate for work, disguises himself as a guy so that she can work at a coffee shop.
The production of Prince Coffee Lab started in April.
