After going on a break for two and a half years, Japanese alternative rock band The HIATUS will be releasing a new album in July.

The studio album, which will be their fifth, will be released on July 6. The album is called Hands of Gravity and has 10 new tracks composed and written entirely by The HIATUS' members.

Aside from their new album, the band would also be busy with their Hands of Gravity Tour 2016. The tour is meant to help promote their new album and they will be performing across Japan.

The HIATUS is a famous rock band in Japan which was formed back in 2009 by another band Ellegarden's frontman Takeshi Hosomi. As implied by their name, they were formed during Ellegarden's hiatus in 2008. Initially, The HIATUS was considered by several Ellegarden's fans as Takeshi's solo project.

However, it is now clear that they are a new band composed of extremely talented musicians who also come from other Japanese bands such as FULLSCRATCH, Toe, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant and Radio Caroline. Aside from Takeshi, The HIATUS' members are Masasucks, Koji Ueno, Takashi Kashikura.

The band's first album was called Trash We'd Love and ws released on May 27, 2009 under Sony Japan.

The complete track list of their new album Hands of Gravity is listed below:
