South Korean rock band Street Guns was recently crowned as the 2016 grand prize winner of the Hard Rock Rising competition. Street Guns came on top of more than 10,000 competing acts coming from all over the world.
Street Guns won the grand prize including $50,000 in prize money, a professionally-produced music video, a Fender Instruments package, an all-expenses paid trip to perform to an international Hard Rock destination, and 1,000 counts of CD/DVD pack of their latest recording.
The rise to the top was a long and grueling road. On June 1, Street Guns came on top of all the competitors winning the title for their local Hard Rock spot. The band was picked as the Hard Rock Rising artist of the year winner by a panel of judges composed of international artists and music industry professionals.
Hard Rock International Music and Memorabilia historian Jeff Nolan said in a statement, "For the first time ever, all of the Hard Rock Rising performances took place on one day, and Street Guns made a huge impression with their incredible charisma and unique take on traditional rockabilly. They're an amazingly talented and fun band, and I can't wait to see them perform live on a Hard Rock stage."
Three other rock bands who entered the competition were hailed as regional finalists by the diverse panel of judges. They are Jack Berry of Nashville, Tennessee, Les Indigents from Panama City, Panama, and 100 Fables from Glasgow, Scotland.
The three acts will each receive a prize package consisting of a professionally-produced music video, Fender Instruments package, and 1,000 counts of CD/DVD pack from Bison Disc.
Hard Rock Rising is a global musical competition that supports up-and-coming artists from all over the world. It was launched by Hard Rock International as part of its effort to support music and artists around the globe.
