A former member of the 1990s hit boy band Seo Taiji and Boys has been charged with sexual assault.
According to KPop Herald, the 49-year-old Lee Juno is suspected of sexually abusing two women at an Itaewon club. This incident reportedly took place on June 25 at around 3 a.m. The Yongsan Police Station is still analyzing video footages from surveillance cameras inside the club to determine whether or not the reports are true.
"We will summon Lee for questioning once the basic investigations are complete," the police said in a statement.
Lee is suspected of perpetrating an indecent act by force on the victims identified only as Ms. Yang and Ms. Park. Both victims are said to be around 29 years old. Lee reportedly approached the two ladies and grabbed them from behind. He was drunk during the incident, Soompi reported.
The two ladies allegedly tried to avoid Lee but then he approached them over and over again. He reportedly touched their breasts, their backs, and other parts of their bodies. Officials said that Lee was then escorted out of the nightclub and then even he hit the owner of the club.
Lee was investigated on a sexual abuse charge back in 2002. He was booked for sexually abusing a woman. Lee and the victim later had reached an agreement outside of the court.
Lee is married and has two children.
