Mother of Jessy Mendiola, Didith Garvida, speaks up and defends the actress against haters, calling her snake and blaming her for the high profile break-up of Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin.
Garvida urged critics to respect her daughter and stop spreading wrong accusations that she was the third-party in Manzano and Locsin's relationship. Mendiola already denied her involvement with the actor prior to the break-up; however, many still claimed they were romantically linked before Manzano and Locsin broke up.
According to ABS-CBN News, Garvida broke down in tears over critics tagging her daughter as a snake. She further said that regardless if there was any truth to the allegations, it was Manzano who tried to pursue Mendiola, and not the other way around. She demanded that her daughter should still be treated with respect. She has continued to leap in defense of her daughter, responding to her critics bashing in twitter.
Mendiola said that the actor tried to pursue her after his break-up with Locsin and not when they were still together, so she did not come in between the both of them. Manzano also defended Mendiola against the snake tag and said that he and Locsin did not break up because of her.
Meanwhile, a photo of Mendiola with Manzano's mother, Vilma Santos, went viral in social media. Fans quickly assumed that their relationship was progressing fast; however, Manzano slammed those rumors during an interview with Rappler. Manzano said that his mother did visit Mendiola, but only to check if she was okay after all the unwarranted bashing that she experienced from fans and critics.
