Following the success of "Descendants Of The Sun," Jin Goo has something to reveal on how the hit drama changed his life entirely. The 36-year-old Korean actor said he was surprised how many people recognize him after playing as Seo Dae Young.
In a recent interview, Jin reminisced how different was his life last year. The "Descendants Of The Sun" star said he was just like an ordinary person, who falls in line in the cinema house; however, things have changed when he starred in the KBS drama series as he often gets recognize by people, both locals and foreigners, Allkpop reported.
"Also, it's amazing how people recognize me in other countries. I understand maybe in Asia, but I was really surprised to be recognized in Paris, France," Jin said. He revealed his rising popularity in "Descendants Of The Sun" initially made him feel uncomfortable, but added he is now used to fans who usually ask him for pictures and autographs.
Meanwhile, Jin and Kim Ji Won have been lauded for their chemistry on-screen for "Descendants Of The Sun"; hence, the actor has been offered a number of projects with majority of them as romantic dramas.
Amid reports claiming that "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 2 will have a new set of cast, Jin guaranteed that his fans will still see Sergeant Major Dae Young. "I saw reports on it, and if there is a season 2, then of course I will take part. I will do it again no matter how successful or not it may be since I received a great gift from it," the actor said.
According to reports, producers of the hit drama are in talks for a second season to express their gratitude to the supporters of "Descendants Of The Sun," Soompi reported. A source affiliated with KBS also said they are eyeing to release the next installment in 2017.
