The runaway bride Amelia will be back in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13, and since Caterina Scorsone is expecting in real life, many think that Amelia might also get pregnant in the upcoming season.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Scorsone said that she does not think so and feels that the creators would come up with some intelligent camera work to hide her baby bump. She is confident that they will do some fun hiding with super camera work and super wardrobe.
Referring to her character's botched-up pregnancy in "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off "Private Practice," Scorsone said that the showrunners would not want to burn through that entire story, and Shonda Rhimes will give her a break on this one. Notably, her character had given birth to a son with no brain on "Private Practice."
As for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13's track, Scorsone feels that the story will revolve more around Amelia's marriage journey and how she deals with life's highs and lows while walking hand-in-hand with Owen. The actress said that the rapidity with which they (Amelia-Owen) got married is going to be a piece of their story. Referring to the tumultuous run-up to the wedding, she said that it took that level of spontaneity to get them down the aisle and if they had waited any longer, their nerves would have won.
Nevertheless, they got married and now they have to figure out how to stay married in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13. According to her, a lot of their story will be about sharing a life together and being vulnerable. She emphasized that it is going to be a lot of really pithy conversations about this new phase, but she is hopeful that the two will get to explore the different levels of messiness and complications a marriage pact comes with, TV Series Finale reported.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 returns on ABC on Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. EDT.
