Activision has unveiled another teaser image for its upcoming first-person shooter, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." This time, it's about the Zombies mode.
The image was released on the official Twitter account of the Call of Duty (CoD) franchise. The image seems to hint on a new direction for the popular gameplay mode in the series, which first appeared in the CoD World War 2 shooter, World at War.

The lack of gameplay previews in the new teaser could make fans want more information, and they might not have to wait long. Both Activision and Infinity Ward, the series developer, have promised to release more information about Zombies mode in the upcoming CoD game later this year. They could possibly make more details available during Gamescom 2016, Attack of the Fanboy speculated.
As for the main game itself, Activision has already released a number of trailers revealing details on the new factions and characters in the latest installment to the long-running Call of Duty series.
In April, the publisher released a trailer that revealed both the Settlement Defense Force (SDF) and the Solar Associated Treaty Organization (SATO). These are the warring factions featured in the new CoD game.
In the trailer, a man belonging to the SDF issues a manifesto threatening to destroy the United Nations Space Alliance. At the end of the short declaration, a scrambled image of a yet-unidentified character wearing a SATO uniform flashes for a few seconds.
Activision released two more trailers in July. One trailer reveals the Retribution, a space fortress that serves as the central hub for the player. The second trailer previewed 12 minutes of single-player combat in the game's campaign mode.
On Aug. 5, Activision released another trailer revealing the main character of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," PC Gamer reported. In the 3-minute trailer, Lt. Nick Reyes takes command of the Retribution after his superior officer in SATO's Space Combat Air Recon unit was killed in combat. Lt. Reyes is a Special Forces pilot in the unit.
Players can enjoy the full extent of the new game's features starting Nov. 4.
