Last Monday, a trending hashtag #RIPMileyCyrus shocked her fans. They wonder whether the pop singer has passed away, but it turned out to be a retaliation from series of racist tweet from a Miley Cyrus fan.
As Inquisitr reported, the viral trend caused a whole lot of confusion on the social media sites. Cyrus fans began to wonder if the singer really passed away.
“A Miley Cyrus fan attacked the KPOP fandom being all racist and judgemental and now the KPOP fandom is dragging them,” Twitter user @_anamahmed_ explained, while another user @xVisualee tweeted, “For those who wanted to know: a Miley Cyrus fan who stated: ‘Kpop is only known in Asia’ + other racist comments. #RIPMileyCyrus.”
According to All Kpop, a Miley Cyrus fan supposedly tweet "K-Pop is only known in Asia" followed by racist remarks. This angered K-Pop fandom started #RIPMileyCyrus hashtag as trending, followed by a viral drama which completely out of context. What makes the drama out of context is that it all started because of another celebrity - Justin Bieber.
UnrealityTV tracked down the beginning of this bizare viral and found out the origin of it all. It all started when Bieber threatened his fans that he would to make his Instagram private if they had not stopped posting hate comments about his girlfriend Sofia Richie.
The Canadian pop brat, as dubbed by Unreality TV, is known for not being nice to his fans. Even Selena Gomez, her former girlfriend, had made a fuss about it
From then on, the issue went wild as one Instagram user posted a photo with the hashtag #exosnatchedjustinsfansparty last weekend. The photo showed a comparation between Bieber and EXO’s concert, which was held in the same night in Tokyo. Whereas EXO’s concert venue was jam-packed, while Bieber’s venue was almost empty.
The EXO and Bieber drama continued over the weekend.
On Monday, the twitter drama had a surprising twist when #RIPMileyCyrus hashtag went viral. This had dragged Cyrus into this mess, and up to now hashtag is still trending.
