"Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 is set to premiere next month, and there are fresh information here and there on what the show will bring. This includes the return of pro-dancer Derek Hough and her sister Julianne, who will once again be among the judges.
According to E! Online, the Hough siblings will be back. Derek's Broadway show "Singing' in the Rain" was pushed to 2017, so he is able to have free time to do ABC's "DWTS" Season 23.
"It frees me up to do some other things too, so it's kind of fun," he said, as quoted on E!. "Broadway's one of my plans, it's in my cards, it's happening, but right now it's leaving me open."
He added that plans do change a bit, and he now has the opportunity to do other things, including playing the role of Corny Collins on NBC's "Hairspray Live!" Rehearsals for that will reportedly commence on Oct. 24.
Along with Derek, the other pro-dancers who will be in "Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 are Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Allison Holker, and Gleb Savchenko, according to People. Also, Emma Slater, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Jenna Johnson will be there, revealed via the DancingABC Twitter posts.
Of course, there are speculations on who the participating celebrities will be this season. ET Online claims that actresses Terra Jole and Emma Samms, actor Jake T. Austin, and model Amber Rose are going to be "DWTS" Season 23. The publication also thinks Artem Chigvintsev's partner is 60-year-old singer/actress/author Maureen McCormick, basing the guess on the clues posted on DWTS's Instagram.
As it had done in the past, ABC will be announcing the full cast on "Good Morning America" on Aug. 30, so fans will find out if these speculations are right on the money.
Speaking of clues, DWTS also posted a tweet hinting on Lindsay Arnold's partner, calling him "a real catch" while the pro-dancer's photo has a superimposed image of a football. Allison Holker, on the other hand, is holding the image of a microphone and musical notes in another tweet and is hinted to "make beautiful music" with her celebrity partner.
"Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 will premiere on Monday, Sept. 12.
