After another huge success by "Fargo" on their second season, fans are now wondering what comes next for the series. New updates are up including new characters, roles, and the setting for next season.
The show's creator, Noah Hayley, said in the AwJeez podcast, "I think we're going to be in St. Cloud this year," "And we're going to do a little Eden Valley - for reasons that will become apparent later on."
Carrie Coon lands the role for the female lead in season three. Her character is described as "practical woman who grabs the fire extinguisher when the bacon catches fire and everyone else panics." She is playing the role of Eden Valley's chief of police. Coon is now shooting for the final season of HBO's "Leftovers," which will now free up her shedule.
Another additional to the cast is Ewan McGregor, according to Movie Pilot. He will be playing two characters as siblings: Emmit and Ray Stussy. Emmit is a successful and rich family man while Ray is quite the opposite. Ray is a pot-bellied, balding parole officer and blames Emmit for everything unfortunate that has happened to him.
Nothing is confirmed yet for the plot of "Fargo" Season 3 but it is said that the timeline will take place again in a modern era. No main roles from season one will have a primary role for the third season but even though it is all new in terms of its characters and plotlines, it will still have connections from the stories from previous seasons.
"Fargo" Season 3 is scheduled for its release on spring 2017 on FX.
